Become a Nature Unplugged Educator.

This training was developed specifically for organizations with a focus on improving mental health in tweens, teens and young adults. It is ideal for those already providing services and programming directly to youth and young adults. Typical participants come from nonprofits, educational institutions, business and corporations and will have already completed our Nature Unplugged Advocate Certification. Teachers, educators, community leaders, parents, mental health professionals and student leaders are welcome.

What does this training include?

Our interactive 2 day Nature Unplugged Educator Training is our most intensive and robust offering. Participants will receive a copy of our book, Experience Nature Unplugged: A Guide to Wellness in the Digital Age, and learn how to bring the core principles of our unique curriculum to their organization and community through:

• Participation in our 90 minute Nature Unplugged Workshop

• The study and practice of the ENU (Experience Nature Unplugged) Method as a guide for wellness in the digital age

• Training on how to facilitate:

• Over 20 unique ENU Activities, including our Conversation Card Deck

• Mindfulness practices to connect with nature and promote healthy tech boundaries

• Resources on how to run ENU Nature Hikes, Day Trips and Digital Detox Retreats (included in our Facilitation Manual)

Key Program Outcomes

Participants will:

• Learn about the rise of the attention economy, tech neutrality, and the impact of smart technology and social media on our physical and mental health

• Be able to guide others through the ENU Method to inspire wellness in the digital age

• Know how to plan and facilitate ENU Day Trips and Digital Detox Retreats

• Have the opportunity to develop and practice new facilitation skills

• Gain exposure to a variety of preventative mental health tools and resources

• Discover the benefits and research supporting unplugged time in nature

• Learn to role model healthy relationships with technology and nature
